Driven by knowledge

The majority of VHI Refrigeration’s staff have worked for the company for years: they are professional designers, draftsmen, planners and service engineers with exceptional (technical) service records. Over a 20-year period, Director Bart van Helmond acquired knowledge and experience pertaining to the processes surrounding industrial refrigeration technology and relations with clients, and he is driven by knowledge:

“The company philosophy ‘Driven by knowledge’ has always been used within the organisation, but now we also mention it explicitly. We are not the market leader in certain sectors for nothing you know! The foundations for this were laid from 1978 onwards by properly studying the market, all the technical aspects that play a role in refrigeration. The knowledge acquired constitutes the foundations for the carrying out of projects for our clients in accordance with their wishes. We want to be good, to ensure we are leading the field and know our discipline inside out. We are genuinely interested in the issues the client has so we can learn from them. Interest in the client’s production process makes all the difference. If we properly understand that process we can also contribute the right added value. It is in this way that we find out how to best utilise our systems.”

“We listen to what our clients want very carefully. By asking them what they need, making proposals and adapting things, they are provided with the technical refrigeration technology aspects in a handy manner. We don’t always opt for the obvious solution. We also try to innovate. We sometimes let go of proven solutions if we think we can create an advantage for our clients in some way.”
